Mission:
The Deacons are Biblically-ordained church officers endeavoring to fulfill the requirements of Servanthood and Stewardship in all areas of ministry. We pursue the challenges of nourishing and encouraging the spiritual development and welfare of Ebenezer members in particular and of Christ's people in general.

Description of Group Functions:
As one of two Biblically-ordained offices of Christ's Church, Deacons' responsibilities span the realm of ministering to the basic needs of Church members. Foremost among these responsibilities are encouragement of spiritual development and growth through participation in the church's educational and training programs, bible study, worship, and prayer services.

The Deacons handle collections of offerings, visitation of the sick, provision of bereavement services, as well as administration of Holy Communion and assistance with baptisms. Primarily, deacons function as helpers to the Pastor and are available as resources to strengthen his overall vision and focus as well as to enhance the programs at Ebenezer that give support to the great commission which, in essence, is a declaration to "Disciple All".
