The 64th Woman’s Day Observance will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008, with the theme: “Fearless Women: Chosen by God for Service”, Scriptures: Judges 4 and 5; Ephesians 6: 11-18. The Ecumenical Candlelight Service, to be held at 8:00 a.m., features Sister Blondell Smith as guest speaker. The morning worship service at 11 a.m. will feature Sister Estelle Brooks as guest speaker, along with the women’s chorus, under the direction of Dr. Gloria Quinlan. Leadership for the observance includes Sister Beatrice Williams, General Chairperson and Sister Alice Houston-Johnson, General Co-chairperson. |

All women are urged to become active participants in all planned activities, and to wear white. Sign–up sheets will be available in the church foyer for candlelight service participants immediately following both services on Sunday morning. |

There are other occasions for involvement, including Game Night (A Luau) on Friday, May 16, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall; the Walk for Christ on Saturday, May 17 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at the church and Prayer Service on May 21, 7-8 p.m. Financial reports may be made on May 17 from 1-2 p.m., May 24 from 9-2 p.m. and May 25 from 9-10 a.m. |

Rehearsal for the Woman’s Day Chorus will be held each Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
until the program. The financial goal for each team is $1500 and the attendance goal is 300 for each worship service. |
