Rev. William West was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He attended Reagan High School where he excelled as both a student and an athlete. In 2005, William earned a Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Exercise Science and Human Development from Angelo State University.

In the winter of 2006, he answered his calling and fully committed himself to spreading the Word of God to others. Having been a lifelong member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, it was a true blessing for William to deliver his first sermon in the very church that continues to nurture his spiritual development. His first sermon was based upon his favorite scripture- Isaiah 40:28-31: “Do you know? Have you heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Rev. West states that he’s excited about the future of Ebenezer and he looks forward with great anticipation to see what God has in store for 2008. Early in the year, he was appointed to the position of Youth Minister by the Pastor. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, music, and spending time with his family. He is a very open and outgoing person. His future goals are to attend seminary and also to obtain a Master’s Degree in Secondary School Administration.
